It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been waiting. God’s timing is always perfect!

We are such a microwave society.  You want, what you want, when you want it.   You are strong, independent, and ambitious.  You know how to get out here and make things happen for yourself and your family.  Waiting for things to happen is not your strength.

You have a daily agenda.  Things need to be checked off your daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual to-do list.   So a delay in any part of your life feels like defeat or neglect.  You don’t have time for this.

But, what about when it comes to prayer.  There are situations that are completely out of your control.  Even though you’ve tried to fix them on your own, you realized itis out of your hands.  So you gave it to God.

And you waited.

And waited a little more.

Gave God the side-eye as you looked at your clock and your to-do list.

Checked in for prayer and reminded God what you were waiting for him to do in your life.

Then you waited a little more.

If you are not careful, you will:

  • try to manipulate your situation so that you can get the results you want.
  • harbor resentment and bitterness towards the unchanged situation and God.
  • feel like God isn’t concerned about your issue.
  • turn on people in your life because they are not helping you get the results you thought God would provide.

God is not ignoring, he hasn’t forgotten about you and he doesn’t want you to fall into any of these traps.

What if, during this process of “waiting”, God is trying to build a couple of things in you.

What if God wanted your faith to be renewed in knowing that he is still an on-time God?

What if God wanted you to learn how to experience his joy during your current season regardless of what is going on around you?

What if the blessing God has for you is so great, he wants to develop your character so that you don’t destroy the blessing once he gives it to you?

God’s timing is ALWAYS perfect.  But, you’ve got to learn how to trust him.

Focus on him.  Dive into his word and pray without ceasing.  But, instead of praying for the manifestation of what you’ve been asking for….

Pray that you walk in his divine purpose for your life without wrestling with his process.  God doesn’t want you to struggle.  Peace, joy, love, and blessings are all around you.  Just change your perspective and trust his timing.

He’s Got, you Sis!

Stay Blessed!
