Don’t wait for something tragic to happen in or for you two to grow apart. Let’s be proactive about having healthy loving marriages.   Follow these easy steps to keep the love flowing.

  1. Act like you are happy to see them.
  2. Share a ritual
  3. Go out of your way to compliment your spouse DAILY
  4. Flirt with each other like you are teenagers.
  5. Hold hands while walking.
  6. Hug or hold each other for at least 5 minutes twice a day.  Oxytocin increases in your body when you hug. An increase in oxytocin lowers blood pressure and of the stress hormone norepinephrine.
  7. Always kiss hello and goodbye.
  8. Have regular date nights
  9. Leave love notes around the house for them to find.
  10. Compete to see who can out spoil the other.  This might sound weird, but, think about when you first started dating.  He would do something for you, you would immediately think of something you can do for him.
